At the moment we offer:

A junior practice session for those aged 8 to 14 on a Friday between 6.30 and 7.30 pm

A senior practice session for those aged 15 and above on  Friday between 7.30 and 9.00 pm

We invite you to stay on for a cup of tea and a chat after the Senior practice as we all get to know each other just a little bit better.

The cost for Juniors is £4 per session and for Seniors is £5 per session. However, there is the opportunity for Seniors to engage in our Beginners Course which is currently £60. This provides you with 12 practice sessions, an assessment, a karate suit (gi) and temp membership to Zenshin Dojo and saves approx £35 on the cost of these elements when purchased individually. In addition Juniors will receive a FREE gi after they've been to four sessions. We don't ask for huge up front costs and you won't need to purchase obligatory bits of equipment that just end up in an under stairs cupboard if you don't like it after 2 weeks. The only 'extra' cost we will need to talk about is membership of our organisation (Zenshin Dojo) in order to grade you and for you to enjoy insurance cover. This is £25 a year for Seniors and £12.5 a year for Juniors. Where equipment may want to be purchased then this will be provided at cost.

In addition to these practice times we are able, and willing, to talk to small groups about one off courses in personal protection which could be done at a variety of times/days to suit. Contact Stuart Attwood for more information about these (see Contacts page).

There will be a number of courses that will benefit your practice and understanding of Shotokai karate-do and these will be discussed with the group as they come up and range from one day to two and three days but are optional.
